Guyanese batsman Kevlon Anderson sent a timely reminder to the national selectors with an unbeaten hundred for Preysal Sports Club against Queen’s Park Cricket Club in the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board’s (TTCB) Premiership I Three-Day tournament at the weekend.

Overlooked for national duties with the Guyana Harpy Eagles for the first two rounds of the ongoing Regional Four-Day Championship, Anderson secured the opportunity to play in Trinidad through Cricket West Indies Academy coach and now interim West Indies Head Coach, Andre Coley.

The right-handed Berbician, batting at number three, made an unbeaten 128 off 193 balls (14x4s) as Preysal made 273 in response to Queen’s Park’s first innings score of 287 all out.

While Anderson starred with the bat for Preysal, spinner Jon-Russ Jaggesar was the standout bowler for Queen’s Park with 5-55.

Batting a second time, Queen’s Park reached 283-3 when the match ended in a draw on Sunday.

Anderson’s compatriot, left-arm spinner Antony Adams, who also missed out on Guyana Harpy Eagles selection, impressed at the weekend with a five-wicket haul for match-figures of 6-74 for PowerGen Penal Sports Club against Clarke Road United.
