Speeding motorcyclist dies after crashing into parked lorry

An early morning accident has claimed the life of a 24-year-old man from Corentyne, Berbice.

Dead is Kelon Anthony Scott of Limlair Village.

Police sources told the News Room that the accident occurred at approximately 06:10 hrs on Wednesday.

Scott was riding his motorcycle (CL 9964) along the southern lane of the Auchlyne Public Road, reportedly at a fast rate, when he lost control and crashed into a lorry (GLL 1193) that was parked on the side of the road.

As a result of the collision, Scott was flung from his motorcycle and fell on the road where he received multiple injuries about his body.

The motorcycle was mangled with fragments scattered across the road.

Scott was picked up in an unconscious state by public-spirited persons and taken to the Port Mourant Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

    Yes riding a motorcycle is inherently dangerous if certain observations are not followed. Speed, road condition, rider experience, and other traffic.
