A 28-year-old driver of Dry Shore, Region Two (Pomeroon – Supenaam) is in Police custody after he was found transporting 37 grams (1.3 ounces) of marijuana in his tractor.
Munesh Bissessar was stopped by ranks on a mobile patrol at Onderneeming Sand pit on Friday, Police Headquarters reported in a press release.
He was transporting perishable materials on motor tractor #TR 26837 when ranks searched the AC compartment and found a transparent plastic bag containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis were found.
In the transparent plastic bag, there were reportedly seven small ziploc bags and each contained a quantity of leaves and stems suspected to be cannabis.
Bissessar was told of the offence committed and he told ranks, “Officer, is a small-time hussler.”
He was arrested and escorted to the Suddie Police Station. The substance was weighed and amounted to 37 grams.
