Harold ‘Top Gun’ Hopkinson has added another machine of speed to his garage, with the acquisition of the Lotus Exige.
Previously owned by Vishok Persaud, who set the Endurance lap record of 1:25.451 seconds at the recent ‘Dakota 100’, the stylish and eye-catching race car will now be piloted by Hopkinson’s son, Denzel.
According to the senior Hopkinson, he considers Persaud a “little brother” and it was imperative he added the Lotus to his fleet of cars.
The car was delivered Saturday morning.
With decades of experience in motorsport, Hopkinson, the Principal of team Secure Innovations and Concepts Inc., now has cars for Endurance, Circuit, and Drag Racing.
The popular ‘Kong’ in Drag Racing is owned by Hopkinson and this season he plans on ensuring the 700 HP Subaru is part of Group Four action when Circuit Racing gets underway next month.
