A 51-year-old man from Region Four died on February 13, 2023, after he was infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Health said the man’s vaccination status is unknown. His death takes the COVID-19 death toll to 1,298.
The ministry further noted that an additional 9 persons were infected with the disease over the last 24 hours.
With the new cases, the total number of confirmed cases is now 73,052. Four persons are in institutional isolation and 43 are in home isolation.
Since the pandemic started in 2020, a total of 71,707 persons have recovered.
