A 26-year-old man is currently hospitalised at the New Amsterdam Hospital after he was shot by a man he reportedly threatened on Saturday.
Hospitalised is Desmond Griffith called Andrew Blacks.
According to the Police, the incident took place at Smithfield, New Amsterdam at approximately 11:20 hrs.
It is alleged that Damion Morgan, 24, of Fort Ordinance Housing Scheme was assisting his father to spray a vehicle when Griffith entered the yard with a cutlass and threatened him.
The News Room understands that Morgon escaped from Griffith but soon after returned with a “small black gun” and discharged three rounds at Griffith.
Morgon then escaped and Griffith was taken to the hospital.
Police are making efforts to arrest the suspect.
