Uncapped pacer Akeem Jordan and all-rounder Roston Chase led with the ball for West Indies on day two of their three-day warm-up game against a South African Invitational XI in Benoni.

At stumps, the South African Invitational XI was bowled out for 317 from 89.5 overs with Jordan bagging 3-32 from 19.5 overs and Chase getting 3-94 from 19 overs while Shannon Gabriel took 2-45 from 10 overs.

Left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie, who took 19 wickets in the two Tests against Zimbabwe earlier this month, did not bowl.

Opener Wihan Lubbe (71), Dewald Brevis (50) and Ruan de Swardt (40) were the main scorers for the hosts.

On day one, West Indies were 283-9 from 89 overs after the South African Invitational XI won the toss and opted to bowl first.

All-rounder Jason Holder and wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva scored half-centuries as Da Silva ended unbeaten on  54 off 129 balls (6x4s) while Holder scored 57 off 62 balls (9x4s, 1×6).

West Indies are preparing to face South Africa in a two-Test series, with matches to start on February 28 in Centurion and March 8 in Johannesburg.

This will be followed by three ODIs and three T20Is in March.
