Georgetown defeated East Coast by four wickets recently to retain the Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) Under-15 Inter-association tournament championship trophy 2023 at the Buxton Community Centre ground.
Georgetown won the toss and elected to field first. East Coast was bowled out for 107 from 34.4 overs from their allotted 50 overs. Munesh Outar scored 45 and was the lone batter to reach double figures.
Anix Hamnarine picked up 3-8, while Emmanuel Lewis took 2-28.
In reply, Georgetown reached their target at 109-6 from 31 overs. Brandon Henry top scored with 27, while Trilak Nanan chipped in with 21 and Lewis 13. Mickel Sharma and Udesh Jaicharran bagged 2-9 and 2-10 respectively, as Georgetown won to keep a hold on the title.
Now that the Inter-Association tournament has been completed, the DCB selection panel will pick an Under-15 to represent the county in the Guyana Cricket Board Under-15 Inter-County tournament, starting Match 14.
