A mother is seeking the public’s assistance in locating her 10-year-old son who has been missing since Sunday.
The child was identified as Omarion Chase of Cotton Tree Village, West Coast Berbice.
Commander of Region Five, Kurleigh Simon told the News Room that a report was filed on Monday.
The Cotton Tree Primary school student was last seen around 19:00 hrs.
Reports are that he left home with his siblings to play at his neighbour’s house. However, his siblings returned home without him. He had reportedly ventured to another friend’s place in the area.
However, as time passed and he did not return home his mother started to search for him but came up empty-handed.
Simon told the News Room that the matter is being investigated. On Monday afternoon, Simon was making his way to meet with the child’s mother who was still engaging investigators.
Residents and family members have launched a search party, combing surrounding areas for the child.
Anyone who may have seen or have information on Chase can contact his mother on telephone number 630-6761 or the nearest police station.
