Ronald Romney, a 36-year-old labourer of King Street, New Amsterdam, Berbice, was on Wednesday remanded for the attempted murder of Steffon Barron.
Police Headquarters reported that Romney appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Renita Singh, where the charge was read to him.
He was not required to plea and was subsequently remanded to prison until May 20, 2023. The Police did not release further details on the case.
