One dead, two injured in motorcycle accident at Enmore

An accident on the access road at Enmore, East Coast Demerara in the wee hours of Sunday resulted in the death of 29-year-old Parishram Sancharrie, a resident of Hope West, Enmore.

Sancharrie was the pillion rider of motorcycle CK 875 which crashed into a pedal cyclist at around 02:00 hrs on Sunday.

According to Police Headquarters, the rider of the motorcycle, 28-year-old Deochand Dass, was proceeding south along the road when he crashed into 30-year-old Imran Bacchus, who was riding his bicycle on the western side of the road.

As a result, Bacchus, a resident of Enmore, along with the two others on the motorcycle, fell on the road and sustained injuries.

They were picked up by the Police and members of the Guyana Fire Service EMT and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital,

There, Sancharrie succumbed to his injuries hours later while the motorcyclist and the pedal cyclist were admitted as patients.

Sancharrie’s body is at the GPHC’s Mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
