The National Under-19 Inter-County 50-Over tournament, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, and organised by the Guyana Cricket Board, starts today (April 12) at the Georgetown Cricket Club and Everest Cricket Club.
The Inter-County follows the nationwide Inter-Club 50-over tournament.
According to the GCB, Essequibo and Demerara have both completed their matches at the county stage level with Berbice currently at the play-off stage that would be completed immediately following the Under-19 Inter-County Three-Day Tournament that starts April 18.
Prominent junior players such as Rampertab Ramnauth, Mavendra Dindyal, Isai Thorne, Jonathan Rampersaud, Zeynul Ramsammy, Shamar Yearwood, Gulcharan Chulai and Alvin Mohabir will be on show for their respective counties.
On April 12, Essequibo faces Berbice at GCC while the GCB Select XI will play Demerara at Everest while on April 14, Demerara plays Berbice at GCC while GCB Select XI will face Essequibo at Everest.
The third round will be on April 16 with Demerara versus Essequibo at Everest and Berbice playing the GCB Select XI at Enmore.
Live streaming will be done at one venue for each round.
