Presidential Guard dies in Coverden accident

Avandel Narine, a Policeman attached to the Presidential Guard, died on Sunday after he was injured in an accident at Coverden, East Bank Demerara.

Traffic Chief, Dennis Stephen in a telephone call with the News Room, said that the circumstances leading to the accident are still under investigation. He did not provide any other information.

The News Room understands that the Presidential Guard was driving a Land Cruiser when he lost control and slammed into a utility pole.

He was not on duty at the time of the accident.
