Deeming the list of candidates a mix of experienced leaders and people passionate about leading, A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) Representative Shaneika Haynes says the party is keen on representing the constituents of the Better Hope to La Bonne Intention (LBI) Local Authority Area.

The party’s list of candidates was submitted on Monday at the Montrose Primary School, East Coast Demerara (ECD).

The submission of this list is done on Nomination Day.

Political parties, voluntary groups and individual candidates contesting the elections, are required to submit their lists of candidates to the office of the Returning Officer in their respective local authority areas in which they wish to contest.

Haynes told the News Room that APNU has been contesting Local Government Elections each time they have been held since 2016.

And she believes that this time around, the party has a strong list.

“People who are willing to work for the betterment of this NDC and country at large, that’s our strength,” Haynes said.
