Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) on Wednesday seized 63 pounds of imported narcotics known as “creepy”, which carries a street value of $11.5 million.

The seizure, according to CANU, was made at Tuschen New Scheme, East Bank Essequibo.

No one was arrested and CANU did not provide any other details about the operation during which the “brick-like” parcels were unearthed.

They, however, noted that the investigation is ongoing.

In a statement issued on Thursday, CANU said it continues to work with other law enforcement agencies to stem the flow of narcotics in and out of the country whilst maintaining an effective presence at the various points of entry/exit.
