A man walked into a Police Station in the city on Thursday afternoon and informed the ranks that he killed his wife and left her body inside a room at the Alpha Hotel at Ogle on the East Coast of Demerara.
The News Room was reliably informed that the man has been identified as Junior Halley; the name of the victim is Kim Halley.
Reports reaching the News Room indicated that the woman was stabbed multiple times and her throat was slit. Detectives also discovered documents bearing the man’s name inside the hotel room.
Reports are that a hotel staff discovered the woman’s body shortly after Halley left the hotel; the couple checked into the hotel together sometime Thursday.
Investigators are currently at the scene and the News Room will provide more information as it becomes available.
