Denzil Bentick, a 31-year-old construction worker of Amelia’s Ward, Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara- Berbice) was charged on Thursday for an armed robbery attempted at Loo Creek, Soesdyke/ Linden Highway.
Bentick was accused of committing the act against Ramlakhan Sookoo, called Kishore, at Loo Creek.
He appeared at the Diamond/ Grove Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Judy Latchman. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Bail was, however, refused and he was remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to May 22, 2023 for trial.
