‘Sir Mars’ killed during alleged fight, perpetrator escapes

Well-known teacher, Kirwyn Mars also known as ‘Sir Mars’ died on Sunday night after someone driving his car reversed into him, crushing him to death in front of an apartment building at Perseverance, East Bank Demerara.

Reports reaching the News Room revealed that Sir Mars and the person who was driving his car had an argument, which then reportedly led to a physical confrontation.

It is alleged that the perpetrator entered Sir Mars’ car PZZ 6438, and reversed into him, pinning him under the vehicle. Sir Mars died at the scene and his body remained pinned under the vehicle for hours.

The perpetrator escaped. When the News Room arrived at the scene, blood stains could be seen on the front passenger door of the vehicle.

Sir Mars, as he is popularly known, joined the teaching profession in 1992. He was also an actor and comedian.
