A long-standing land issue turned violent in Fairfield, Essequibo Coast leaving four persons hospitalised with injuries following a shooting Wednesday afternoon.
Regional Commander, Khemraj Shivbarran told the News Room that the suspect is in Police custody and the .32 pistol used in the shooting was lodged.
The lone female victim of the shooting, identified as Rajkumarie Ragoobar streamed the incident live on Facebook.
The suspect can be seen in the footage standing on top a front end loader and firing in the direction of Ragoobar, while other persons nearby are seen hurling objects at the suspect.
Ragoobar can be heard screaming in the seven-minute-long video as she displayed her injured leg.
The suspect appears to leave the scene after a few minutes with the machines following behind. He was later arrested by Police.
