The decomposed body of a 60-year-old woman was on Sunday discovered in her Lot 41 Johanna North, Black Bush Polder, East Corentyne, Berbice, home.
Dead is Cecilia Ramsook, known as ‘Sisto.’
Police divulged that Ramsook was last seen at about 20:00hrs on the May 9, 2023, imbibing at a wake in Mibicuri, Black Bush Polder.
Her daughter, Drupatie Ramsook called ‘Lalita’, told investigators that her mother had a history of high blood pressure.
The body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition, proved difficult for investigators to determine if there were marks of violence.
The body is presently at Ramoo’s Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem.
