The Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Monday issued wanted bulletins for John Ross called ‘JR’ and Troy Bruce called ‘Blacka’, in connection to the murders of Johnson Bowen, 87, and Manuel Dos Santos, 58, who were shot during a home invasion at Linden in the wee hours of Saturday.
The men’s last known addresses are Five Corner, Linden and Lot 26 Wismar Hill, Linden.
Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Ross and Bruce is asked to contact the Police on telephone numbers 225-6940, 225-8196, 226-7476, 225-2317, 227-1149 or the nearest police station.
Bowen and Dos Santos, both of Block 22, Wismar, Linden were shot dead after they tried to fend off three masked gunmen, who invaded their home at around 04:00 hrs. Two of the bandits were armed with guns.
At the weekend, two persons were arrested, however, the News Room understands that one of the two suspects arrested was not involved in the murders.
Another accomplice was found dead in a house where the two suspects were hiding in Linden on Sunday. His identity remains unknown. He was reportedly chopped several times by the victims during the home invasion.
It was then that the bandits shot at the victims, killing two of them and injuring 20-year-old Denzil Roberts who went over to the house to help his relatives.
The News Room understands that Roberts remains in a critical condition with three gunshot wounds.
As the investigation widens, Crime Chief, Wendell Blanhum on Monday told the News Room that several persons are presently in Police custody in relation to the murders.
Some of the suspects, Blanhum said are principle offenders while the others are considered accessories as they were allegedly involved in the planning of the crime.
