Ghana’s Minister for Trade and Industry, Kobina Hammond, is leading a government and private sector delegation to Guyana for a five-day visit.
The News Room understands that Hammond and the team will arrive in Guyana on Friday night and they are expected to explore the possibilities for trade and investment between Ghana and Guyana.
Other Government Ministers on the delegation will be Bryan Acheampong, Minister of Food and Agriculture and Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister of Education.
The delegation will also include the Deputy Ministers of Trade and Industry and of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and a number of private sector representatives.
During their visit here, the team will visit the Guyana Shore Base Inc on Saturday and then on Monday, they will launch the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and meet with Guyanese government ministers.
They are also slated to meet with officials from the private sector. The visit will conclude on May 24.
