President heads to Brazil for meeting of South American Presidents

President Dr Irfaan Ali departed for Brasilia, Brazil on Monday to participate in the Meeting of the Presidents of South American Countries on Tuesday.

During the visit, President Ali is also expected to meet with the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

The Head of State is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hugh Todd, according to a release from the Office of the President.

In April, President Ali announced that be would be engaging a number of international partners in the coming months to further strengthen bilateral relationships, advance projects and help build more collaborations for the country’s Private Sector.
