Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose body was found at the Houston, East Bank Demerara (EBD) bypass on Sunday morning.
The man is believed to be in his 20s and authorities say he died by suicide.
According to the Police, the discovery was made at around 05:30 hrs.
At the time, Police said the man was cladded in a purple long sleeve jersey, cream long pants and a black belt.
There were no visible marks of violence on the body.
And while foul play has been ruled out, Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to conclude the investigation.
He was pronounced dead by Emergency Medical Technicians from the Central Fire Service.
The body was escorted to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home awaiting identification.
