And on Wednesday, that Qatari team met Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh, Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha, and other senior officials from the Ministries of Finance, Foreign Affairs, and Agriculture.
The release noted that the team is in Guyana to meet and discuss a number of developmental opportunities and projects.
The delegation is also expected to participate in various meetings with the government and private sector stakeholders. A number of presentations on development areas and projects in Guyana will be made.
The team will also be taken on tours of several investment projects.
Importantly, their visit serves as a follow-up to President Irfaan Ali’s recent visit to Qatar where he met and held discussions with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and members of his Cabinet at the Amiri Diwan Palace in Doha.
An embassy was also opened in that country.
