Twenty-seven-year-old Malik Forde was on Thursday remanded to prison for the possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
Forde appeared at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Judy Latchman where he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He was remanded to prison until July 5, 2023.
It is alleged that on June 5, ranks of the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) conducted an operation at a house located at Block V Herstelling, East Bank Demerara. A subsequent search revealed three parcels of suspected cannabis and the arrest of Forde.
