Waramuri Top and Bartica Secondary were on Saturday crowned champions of the fourth ExxonMobil Under-14 Boys and Girls football championship at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown.
Waramuri Top had a chance to cop the ‘double’ and match the efforts of last year’s champions Charlestown Secondary, but Bartica Secondary thwarted those plans in the Boys final.
After the Waramuri girls topped President’s College 4-1 in the female final, Bartica put on a clinical show to trounce the Waramuri boys 4-0.
The finals brought the curtains down on another exciting and successful schools football tournament, coordinated by the Petra Organisation in association with ExxonMobil, Demerara Distillers Limited, GYSBI, MVP Sports, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and the Guyana Football Federation.
