CPL 2023: Amazon Warriors sign Pakistani duo Ayub, Haris

The Guyana Amazon Warriors has announced that the Pakistani duo of Muhammad Haris and Saim Ayub have joined the squad for this season of the Caribbean Premier League.

The Amazon Warriors further indicated that Rahmanullah Gurbaz would be unavailable for some of this year’s CPL due to international commitments.

Haris will replace Gurbaz for that period.

Haris, 22, is a right-hander who has played 47 T20, scoring 973 runs at an average of 22.62 with a strike rate of 148.54, while Ayub, 21, has featured in 41 T20s, racking up 1022 runs at 25.55 and a strike rate of  144.75.

Additionally, Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting will be joining the Jamaica Tallawahs. Cutting has played at the CPL before with the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in 2018. With experience in the best T20 leagues worldwide, he will bring power batting and skillful bowling to the Tallawahs lineup.

Tristan Stubbs will be joining the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. A powerful batter who has recently broken into the South African international team, Stubbs has experience of playing in T20 leagues in England, India, and his native South Africa. This exciting talent will bring firepower to the Patriots’ team.  (CPL
