Worry has consumed the mother of a 23-year-old security guard attached to J’s Security Service in New Amsterdam, Berbice who has not been seen or heard from since July 1, 2023.
Farina Puran told the News Room that she last saw her son, Davindra Puran of Lot 50 ‘B’ Crawford Street, Rose Hall Town at his work site on July 1 when she dropped lunch for him.
“I was passing to go to a funeral and I decided to drop lunch for him but I haven’t heard from him since,” the frustrated mother said.
She said his shift ended at 21:00 hrs on the day in question and he would usually head home or spend some time with friends but after the hours elapsed, calls to his cell phone went unanswered.
According to the distraught mother, her son was renting a house with his ex-girlfriend in New Amsterdam, but they broke up recently and the woman moved out.
On July 2, the now-missing man reportedly made contact with the landlord and told him to have his mother remove his belongings from the house.
“It’s been a week and I frustrated,” the mother said, emphasizing that she only wants to know that he is alive and well.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Davindra is asked to contact telephone numbers 697-6823 and 648-1808. The matter was also reported to the Police.
