Van Lange to lead Guyana at Regional U-17 tournament

The multi-talented Jonathan Van Lange will captain Guyana at the upcoming Regional U-17 Two-Day and 50-Over tournament in Trinidad and Tobago that starts August 9.

In the Inter-County tournament, Van Lange struck a majestic 158, and will have the support of Vikash Wilkinson, the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, along with Matthew Pottaya, Rampersaud Ramnauth, Sanjay Algoo, and Nicholas Shiopersaud.

According to the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB), Dave Mohabir, Stephon Sankar and Harold De Mattos, three standout players from the inter-county, are on the standby list.

The GCB informed the squad will be coached by Quasen Nedd and managed by Neil Rudder, and will be encamped from July 22 at the La Bonne Intention Facility, East Coast Demerara.
