The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) on Monday launched its drive home loan campaign which caters to persons looking to build new homes or renovate their current houses.

The campaign’s theme is: “Dream big! We’ll take care of the rest.”

For the second consecutive year, participants in the promotion will also have the chance to walk away with a new Toyota Raize SUV valued at $8 million.

In addition, the bank will be attending the International Building Expo where persons can apply to participate in the promotion that runs until September 2023.

During the launch held at the bank’s Headquarters in Kingston, Georgetown, Business Development Manager, Rowarrie Mohandeo said the promotion caters to the needs of Guyanese homeowners.

“We recognise that home is more than just a physical place, it is a place of comfort and foundation for families to thrive.

“We understand the importance of affordability hence our carefully thought out mortgage ceilings, low-interest rates and low down payment that are geared to match your budget in catering for the various sizes and preferences of houses being offered ensuring that there is something for every aspiring homeowner,” Mohandeo said.

She added that there is a remarkable surge of economic growth in Guyana which has created a favourable environment to make homeownership “more attainable than ever before”. She said that GBTI proudly plays a significant role in the country’s progress.

Meanwhile, Marketing Manager Pernell Cummings said that the bank is ensuring that new homeowners can also seamlessly become car owners.

“It’s about giving back to our customers and really being part of the Guyanese dream of homeownership and car ownership,” Cummings said.

The winner of the special promotion last year, Giovanni Browne said he was ‘house hunting’ when he came across the campaign last year and it was a significant win for him.

“I was delightful that I was one of the winners,” he said.
