Nicholas Verwey and Kirsten Gomes secured Guyana’s fourth gold medal at the ongoing Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Junior Championships in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The duo, who are also team captains, topped Jamaicans Alex Chin and Sanjana Nallapati 11-8, 11-7 to win the Mixed Doubles title.

Two more bronze medals were gained from Avery Arjoon and Safirah Sumner, who lost 6-11, 8-11 to Barbadians Sumairaa Suleman and Eboni Atherley in the semi-finals of the Girls’ Doubles.

Likewise, Michael Alphonso Jr. and Mohryan Baksh lost to Jamaicans Tobias Levy and Lukas Thomson in the semi-finals of the Boys’ Doubles.
