Police Commander 4(B), Superintendent Mahendra Singh is in a stable condition after he was injured in an accident at the Friendship Public Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD) public road Wednesday morning.
This was confirmed by the Guyana Police Force’s Corporate Communications Unit Director Mark Ramotar during a telephone interview with the News Room.
The Commander and his team were heading to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport on official duties when his vehicle collided with a truck. What exactly happened is not clear at this time.
According to Ramotar, the Regional Commander’s driver was also injured but his condition is unknown at this time. Both men are receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
