DCB partners with SVC/Precision Service Center for senior Inter-Association T20

The Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) has teamed up with Sawh Voltcomm Construction Inc. (SVC)/Precision Service Center to stage the DCB Senior Inter-Association T20 tournament.

The competition will comprise the five Association teams, namely Upper Demerara, East Bank, West Demerara, Georgetown and East Coast.

The fixture and venues will be announced at a later date.

At the launch of the competition, Badesh Thakur, Director of Sawh Voltcomm Construction Inc. (SVC)/Precision Service Center, said: “It is our pleasure to be part of the development of cricket in this country. Cricket is a part of our culture, and we are happy to be a part of the process.”

The sponsorship of G$2 million was handed over to Marketing Manager of the DCB, Anil Beharry, who conveyed his appreciation for the financial support.

“On behalf of the DCB, we would like to thank you for coming on board with us.”

Secretary of the DCB Davteerth Anandjit, in expressing appreciation for the sponsorship, assured that the funds will be used for its intended purpose.

Meanwhile, the DCB in a press release, outlined: “Players are required to represent the association where they permanently reside. If necessary, an exception will be given to the Upper Demerara Cricket Association for guest players to participate. Additionally, each association must select two Under-19 players eligible for national selection in 2024, with at least one player per game.”

Coloured uniforms will be provided by the sponsor.
