Police are investigating the gruesome murder of a mother and her eight-year-old son who were found dead with multiple chop wounds about their bodies at their Mangrove Street, Rose Hall, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) house.
Dead are Melisa Arokium and Anthony Arokium. The discovery was made by a relative on Wednesday afternoon.
The News Room understands that the child was found dead on the bed while the mother was found in the dining hall of the house.
