Porknocker arrested with marijuana at Stewartville
Police on Thursday arrested a 40-year-old porknocker following the discovery of 135 grams of marijuana in the bedroom of his Stewartville, West Coast Demerara (WCD), home.
The suspect has been identified as Ralph Thomas.
According to a Police report, ranks acting on information received went to Thomas’ Stewartville Housing Scheme, WCD house where a search was carried out on his possession, but nothing of evidential value was found.
However, a further search conducted in the room he occupied unearthed a bulky plastic bag containing 54 transparent Ziploc bags, which all had leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis.
Thomas was told of the offence, cautioned, arrested and escorted to the Leonora Police Station.
The suspected cannabis was weighed in his presence and it amounted to 135 grams.
The suspect was placed into custody pending charges.
