Sixty-four packs and nine small jars of cannabis were found on Monday near a Superbet gambling outlet at La Penitence, Georgetown.
According to a release from the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU), officers conducted an operation at the gambling outlet.
A subsequent search of the adjacent area, however, led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing suspected cannabis.
The suspected cannabis was taken to CANU Headquarters where it was tested, confirming that the drugs were indeed cannabis. The narcotic was also weighed and it amounted to 159 grammes.
Several persons are in custody assisting with ongoing investigations.
