Cricket enthusiast Norman ‘Juice Man’ Welch received a spanking new bicycle from a local powerhouse in the medical field, The New Doctor’s Clinic.
The New Doctor’s Clinic’s proprietor, Satyendra Khemraj, presented to Welch at a simple ceremony at Everest Cricket Club.
The 64-year-old rides daily from Section C Enterprise, East Coast Demerara, to ply his trade selling homemade fruit juices.
He was visibly surprised at the gesture and was grateful, saying nobody had ever done something like that for him.
Welch explained that the bicycle would be handy for him to go about his daily duties.
Khemraj made good on the promise during the ‘Cricket for Charity’ match at the recent One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
The New Doctor’s Clinic is Guyana’s leading medical equipment distributor, including hospital furnishing.
