Rondel Bellamy, 31, a construction worker was on Tuesday charged with discharging a loaded firearm with intent.
Bellamy of Lot 61 Middle Walk, Buxton, ECD was arrested on Monday.
He appeared before Fabayo Azore at the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court.
However, Bellamy had the charge against him dismissed after the victim, Ashanti Andrews, 20, of Vigilance, ECD informed the Magistrate that she did not wish to pursue the matter.
As such, Bellamy was freed.
