Farmer arrested for possession of improvised firearm
Ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF), responding to a report of threatening behaviour on Sunday, arrested a 30-year-old farmer for possession of an improvised firearm.
Police Headquarters reported that the discovery was made at a farm in Sisters Village, East Bank Berbice.
At the time, Police said ranks from Region Six were responded to a report of threatening behaviour committed on 64-year-old poultry farmer Bisram Singh and his 29-year-old daughter Navita Singh.
The suspect, who hails from Better Hope South, East Coast Demerara, was arrested and is assisting with the investigation.
