Guyanese duo Akshaya Persaud and Isai Thorne have been selected to play for the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) at the upcoming Regional Super50 in Trinidad and Tobago.
CCC plays its first match on October 17 against the hosts at the Queen’s Park Oval.
Persaud will have his second stint with CCC after playing for the team in 2019, while Thorne, a promising West Indies Under-19 fast-bowler, will have his maiden outing.
The 26-year-old Persaud has played nine List A matches and scored two half-centuries.
More so, Ashmead Nedd and Matthew Nandu will feature for West Indies Academy, which means that apart from the Guyana Harpy Eagles’ 14-man squad, four other Guyanese cricketers have an opportunity to play List A cricket.
