Guyana’s Golden Jaguars stormed to a convincing 3-1 victory over Puerto Rico to provisionally go top of Group D in League B of the CONCACAF Nations League.
It is only the second win for Guyana in four meetings.
It was a come-from-behind triumph after Puerto Rico took the lead via Leandro Antonetti in the 11th minute, and they carried that cushion into the first half.
However, the Jaguars’ second half was a revival as star forward Omari Glasgow netted a penalty in the 60th, and three minutes later, Kelsey Benjamin placed Guyana in the lead.
Deon Moore capped off the fine day by scoring his first goal for the Jaguars in the 85th.
