A post-mortem examination conducted on the body of 42-year-old Kimal Khan found that he died from multiple gunshot injuries – three to the head and one to the chest.

Police Headquarters on Monday noted that the PME was done by government pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh at the mortuary of the Georgetown Public Hospital.

Khan, a 42-year-old resident of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was shot dead at the Ogle Public Road in the wee hours of Sunday by three unidentifiable men who were travelling in a Toyota Allion motorcar.

Police Headquarters reported that that Khan and his common-law wife, 21, left their Mon Repos home on a black Honda motorcycle (#CL 5173) on Saturday night and visited several bars.

On their way to Georgetown, Khan stopped at the traffic light at Ogle when a tinted silver-coloured Allion vehicle (registration number unknown) pulled up alongside them and discharged several rounds in their direction.

Khan immediately fell off the motorcycle and onto the roadway as the car sped away.

When Police Officers got to the scene, they found Khan lying on the road motionless in a pool of blood.
