Rambirche and Beharry emerge as triple champions at NSC Junior Badminton tourney

The Guyana Badminton Association/National Sports Commission (NSC) Junior Badminton tournament concluded at the weekend with Ruel Rambirche and Mishka Beharry emerging as triple champions at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.

Rambirche won the Under-15 Mixed Doubles with Gianna Ramnarine, the Under-15 Boys Doubles with Avinash Ramnarine and the Under-15 Boys Singles.

With his success, Rambirche emulated Guyana’s top player Narayan Ramdhani, who was the last male to achieve a triple title.

Beharry won the Under-19 Mixed Doubles with Xavio Alexander, the Under-19 Girls Doubles with Leshaunte Berkley and the Under-19 Girls Singles.

Other category winners are Joel Rambirche, Anjaneysa Godette, Ethan Bulkan, Malia Haley, Jonathan Debiden and Frank Waddell.

Executives of the Guyana Badminton Association expressed gratitude to the National Sports Commission and the Director of Sport Steve Ninvalle for their support in the successful execution of the tournament.
