A businessman was beaten to death at his Williamsburg, Corentyne, Berbice house sometime Tuesday night or early Wednesday during a robbery.
Dead is Akbar Sain, the proprietor of the Sain Supermarket. Regional Commander, Shivpersaud Bacchus confirmed the incident and noted that Police are still at the scene.
The News Room has since confirmed that a suspect was caught with the loot and is in Police custody assisting with investigations.
