A 61-year-old woman of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, escaped serious injuries after a Police vehicle reversed into her early Wednesday morning.
Police Headquarters reported that the incident occurred at about 06:00 hrs on the Mon Repos main access road.
The Police vehicle is attached to the Beterverwagting Police Station and was driven by a Detective Constable.
According to the Police, the ranks were leaving a fire scene at Mon Repos when the driver reversed into Kamlawattie Singh.
Singh sustained minor injuries and was picked up in a conscious state, placed into the said Force vehicle and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where she was treated and sent away.
A notice of intended prosecution was served on the driver.
