Guyana Harpy Eagles and the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) had to settle for a no-result in their CG United Super50 Cup match on Wednesday at the Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground in St. Augustine, Trinidad.

The rain came at a time when Guyana Harpy Eagles had taken control of the match, reducing CCC to 86-5 after 15 overs, chasing 178.

Off-spinner Kevin Sinclair took 3-39, and skipper Veerasammy Permaul and fellow left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie took a wicket each for Harpy Eagles.

Opener Kadeem Alleyne was dismissed for 47.

Earlier, Harpy Eagles’ batters struggled yet again, losing wickets at regular intervals in being bowled out for 177 in 48.1 overs.

Tevin Imlach, batting at three, topscored with 80 from 105 balls (4x4s, 1×6), while opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul made 30 and Romario Shepherd 19.

The top and middle order batters were all dismissed cheaply- Kemol Savory (3), Shimron Hetmyer (10), Kevlon Anderson (3), Sinclair (0) and Sherfane Rutherford (13).

Bowling for CCC, Akshaya Persaud took 2-23, Shatrughan Rambaran 2-27, Abhijai Mansingh 2-48.

Guyana Harpy Eagles’ next match is against Barbados Pride on Sunday (October 29) from 09:00h at the same venue.
