The body of a 58-year-old man was on Friday morning discovered in his vehicle which was parked in the compound of Promenade Gardens in Georgetown.
The dead man has been identified as Lloyd Gibson.
The News Room understands that the discovery was made around 09:15hrs by the security guard.
The Police were summoned and a team along with crime scene ranks were dispatched to the location.
Initial investigation has ruled out foul play.
Reports are that it is a norm for Gibson to visit the spot.
The News Room was told that Gibson dropped his wife off at work in the city at about 06:00hrs after which he ventured to the gardens.
At the time of the discovery, the vehicle, a white Toyota Runx, was locked.
The Guyana Fire Service was subsequently summoned and firefighters assisted in getting the body out of the vehicle.
Gibson’s body was taken to the Memorial Gardens funeral home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
