GBF names basketball teams for IGG in Suriname

The Guyana Basketball Federation (GBF) on Wednesday announced its official rosters for the highly anticipated 2023 Inter-Guyana Games (IGG) basketball tournament for Under-17 boys and girls, set to take place in Paramaribo, Suriname, from November 17-19.

“This dynamic and talented group of athletes is gearing up to represent Guyana with determination, skill and teamwork, as they aim for success on the court,” the GBF said.

The GBF added: “The Boys’ Head Coach Willon Cameron and Assistant Coach Warren Wilson, who will perform double duty as the Boys Team Manager, along with Girls Head Coach Abdullah Hamid and Assistant Coach Dennis Niles have carefully selected this exceptional group of athletes based on their skills, dedication and commitment to the sport.”

“The GBF has been working tirelessly in preparation for this prestigious tournament, aiming to make Guyana proud.”

Ann Gordon will be the Girls Team Manager, while Sileena Arjune is the assigned Technical Delegate.

The referees traveling with the delegation are Ronaldo Teixeira and Courtney Taylor.
