Police on Wednesday conducted an intelligence-led operation in New Amsterdam, Berbice, which led to a major drug bust and the recovery of a shotgun and several rounds of ammunition.
Police arrested five adults and a 17-year-old male.
Police seized an unlicensed 12 gauge shotgun, 125 12 gauge cartridges, 19 .32 ammunition, 49 Geco .30ml carbine ammunition, 41 9mm ammunition and $50,000 cash.
Police also found 98 pounds of marijuana during the operation. No further details were provided by Police Headquarters.
